Can’t Blow My Buzz: Weed Without The High

Listen potheads, this discovery isn’t for you, so relax. An Israeli medical marijuana incentive recently created a strain of cannabis which won’t get the user stoned. However, the plant’s health benefits will be made available to those suffering from illnesses like Parkinson’s, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, autism, and many more. It’s weed without the high, which is kind of cool, especially compared to Bethany Frankel’s munchies-free weed.

Israel is currently interested in being the world’s leader in medical marijuana research, with 20,000 of its citizens using medical cannabis. The strain, Rafael, is significant for those who need relief but can’t handle the buzz from marijuana, which is a complaint of many patients. Now, Israel is working with Jamaica, where legalization was just passed by government legislation and where Rastafarianism, in which marijuana plays a crucial part, is most prominent. The two countries are working to discover the health benefits of cannabis, which helps reduce seizures in epileptics, allows for anorexics to stimulate their appetite, and helps Crohn’s sufferers to reduce pain. The significance of these kinds of advancements is great and preventative of people being imprisoned for trying to relieve the pain of their loved ones.
