Bad Teachers: 4th Teacher Suspended For Highschool Sex Parties

by January 23, 2015 0 comments

South Hills High School in West Covina, California has found itself amidst some serious controversy. Following the arrest of two teachers, Melody Lippert and Michelle Ghirelli, who hosted sex parties for several seniors from the high school. The women allegedly invited the boys to an Orange County beach house with promises of alcohol.

See! Pot is way better.

Following the arrests, a fellow teacher felt the need to speak up, and did so…poorly. Sean Patrick Kane, the art instructor at South Hills High School, went to (where else?) the internet with his opinions. Which we all know always turns out for the best in these situations. Instead of paraphrasing, I uncovered a screenshot of the now deleted post, enjoy:

That guy who wrote that is a teacher. I’m not sure who’s the worst in the situation. However, he’s the 5th teacher who has been suspended from the school recently. Kane, Lippert and Ghirelli, and an unnamed individual, for this scandal. Another teacher has been accused of choking a student. On Wednesday Kane was placed on paid administrative leave. A spokesperson for the district’s school board stated “We can’t dictate what somebody is going to put on their own personal Facebook page, but at the same time we would expect teachers to be professional.”

Maybe look for red flags when hiring? You know, count the amount of  “dudes” used, and make sure the person who is about to teach children isn’t still miffed about grade 10 algebra.

This all sounds more apocalyptic than anything I’ve read in the news recently. I’m not sure why. I think it may solidify the notion that we’re heading for or living in a new dark ages. Or maybe it’s just icky.
